DAYTONA BEACH – While the new Tanger Outlets mall has opened to rave reviews, several shoppers have complained that it doesn’t have enough restaurants.
“I think it’s nice, (but) I’m disappointed they don’t have a food court,” said shopper Lena Desmond who arrived at 4:45 a.m. to be first in line for the mall’s H&M apparel store opening day Nov. 18. “They need more food options.” The good news is that a developer has already announced plans to add eateries, not to the Tanger center itself, but next to it.
It’s all part of a planned 235-acre mixed-use development called Tomoka Town Center, of which the 39-acre Tanger mall is just the first piece.
