John P. Albright

Mr. Albright joined the Company in August 2011, as President and Chief Executive Officer. He most recently was the Managing Director of Archon Capital, a Goldman Sachs Company located in Irving, Texas, involved with investing on behalf of the Goldman Sachs Real Estate Mezzanine Partners Fund. Before joining Archon, Mr. Albright held a similar position with Morgan Stanley and Crescent Real Estate Equities. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

Matthew Partridge

Mr. Partridge joined the Company in October 2020 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Partridge was most recently the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Hutton, a private commercial real estate development and investment company headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prior to Hutton, Mr. Partridge served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Agree Realty Corporation, a NYSE-traded net lease REIT, and prior to Agree, he was Vice President of Finance for Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, a NYSE-traded lodging REIT. Mr. Partridge received his MBA from Xavier University and a BBA in finance from Eastern Michigan University.

Daniel E. Smith

Mr. Smith joined the Company in 2014. He serves as the Company’s general counsel and corporate secretary. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Smith served as Vice President-Hospitality and Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Goldman Sachs & Co. Prior to that, he spent ten years at Crescent Real Estate Equities, Ltd. where he held several positions, including Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Smith began his legal career at the law firm of Hughes & Luce in Dallas, Texas. He received his J.D. and LL.M. degrees from Duke University School of Law, and his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University.

Steven R. Greathouse

Mr. Greathouse joined the Company in January 2012 and is responsible for the acquisition and disposition of income-producing properties, as well as other investment opportunities for the Company. He most recently was the Director of Finance at N3 Real Estate, a single-tenant triple net property developer. Prior to N3, he was a Senior Associate at Morgan Stanley and Crescent Real Estate Equities where he was involved in mezzanine loan investments. He earned his undergraduate degree and Masters in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.

Lisa M. Vorakoun

Ms. Vorakoun has served as the Company’s Vice President and Controller since July 2017. She joined the Company in 2013 as the Company’s Controller. As Controller, she manages the Company’s accounting and tax functions. She began her career at James Moore & Co., in Daytona Beach, Florida, a full service regional accounting and consulting firm where she managed audit clients in various industries. She received her Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Accounting from Florida State University. She is a member of the AICPA and FICPA.

Helal Ismail

Vice President – Investments

Before rejoining CTO in January 2020, Mr. Ismail was with Jefferies’ REGAL (Real Estate Gaming and Lodging) Investment Banking Group, where Mr. Ismail worked on various Real Estate-Backed transactions. Mr. Ismail received his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business (“UVA”). On behalf of UVA, Mr. Ismail regularly competed in invitation-only real estate case competitions alongside competitors from MBA programs at Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. During his final year at UVA, Mr. Ismail coauthored two case studies on publicly-traded real estate companies covering IRC 1031, tax versus GAAP basis, contested proxies, and executive compensation.
