DAYTONA BEACH — Canadian developer Minto Communities on Friday completed its purchase of nearly 1,600 acres here.
It plans to build the first phase of a 6,900-home community that would be the largest ever built in the Volusia-Flagler area.
The $27.2 million transaction, which closed shortly before 4 p.m. Friday, is the biggest-ever land sale in Daytona Beach by Consolidated-Tomoka Land Co.
